Glidden Lodge Beach Resort has an ideal location for a hotel in Door County, Wisconsin. It is located in a quiet area on the Lake Michigan beach surrounded by the beautiful Door County woods. Sturgeon Bay, Door County’s largest city, is centrally located on the peninsula and it’s less than a twenty-minute drive from Glidden Lodge Beach Resort.
Sturgeon Bay also has a slew of restaurants, events, and festivals to entertain residents and visitors alike. One such event coming up on September 18, 2021 is the Harvest Fest and Street Art Auction. The city is holding the Harvest Fest and Street Art Auction to celebrate 21 years of public art in Sturgeon Bay. What better way to celebrate than with the iconic Door County cherry? Midwestern artists have been diligently inventing art pieces for the Cherries Jubilee theme since January. All 25 art pieces will be auctioned off at the fest, but they will beautify the streets of Sturgeon Bay until the end of September.
Festivities start Saturday at 9am on 3rd Avenue in downtown Sturgeon Bay. In addition to a classic car show there will be a craft show, children’s activities, food booths, in-store specials and live entertainment. Take in the Cherries Jubilee street art projects and bid on the one you want to call your own.
