There are so many reasons to take a winter beach vacation at Door County’s Glidden Lodge Beach Resort, so we’re going to lay them out one-at-a-time this week. Reason Number Four: Embark on a winter nature crawl! Our Door County resort is close to some of the peninsula’s favorite outdoor destinations! Parks and preserves like Cave Point County Park, Whitefish Dunes State Park, Shivering Sands Nature Preserve (just a short walk down the road from our hotel) and our own gorgeous Lake Michigan beachfront (see below).
